چکیده
Aim: The present study aimed to detect Human bocavirus (HBoV) in stool samples from young children below 5 years complaining of acute gastroenteritis (GE) addition detection rotavirus, norovirus, and astrovirus. Methods: included 90 with GE excluded bacterial pathogens. determination the presence HBoV was performed by nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) beside astrovirus norovirus multiplex PCR rotavirus antigen enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: most prevalent virus among studied viruses (33.3%) detected ELISA for stool. other three molecular methods were (14.4%), (13.3%), (10%). Mixed viral infection two or more 16 (17.8%). common 6 patients (37.5%). In demographic clinical presentations HBoV, affected mainly females, i.e ., 10 (76.9%), rural residence 11 (84.6%) mild classification 7 (53.8%) moderate (46.2%) none them had severe GE. Fever presenting sign those (53.8% ) followed vomiting (46.2%). Conclusion: highlights existence under age five. associated this either severity. combined especially rotavirus. There is a need further additional identify type circulated strain confections

Human Bocavirus in Iranian children with acute gastroenteritis
Background: Human Bocavirus ( HBoV) infection is of worldwide distribution. There is increasing evidence that HBoV is pathogenic for the human gastroenteric tract. However, less data are available on the role of HBoV in gastroenteritis. The present study was aimed to determine the prevalence of HBoV in children with gastroenteritis. Methods : Real-time PCR TaqMan was used to screen 200 st...

We detected human bocavirus in 89 (19.3%) of 462 fecal samples collected during 3 periods from 1985 through 2010 from children <5 years of age in Chile who were hospitalized with acute gastroenteritis. Our findings confirm the long-term circulation of human bocavirus in Chile.

متن کاملA Novel Bocavirus Associated with Acute Gastroenteritis in Australian Children
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE) is a common illness affecting all age groups worldwide, causing an estimated three million deaths annually. Viruses such as rotavirus, adenovirus, and caliciviruses are a major cause of AGE, but in many patients a causal agent cannot be found despite extensive diagnostic testing. Proposing that novel viruses are the reason for this diagnostic gap, we used molecular s...
